Folks
I have one of the old DeArmond 610 tone/vol pedals but the tone does not seem to roll off as low as I want it,,, to me it sounds like it's not rolling the pot all the way in order to drain off enough high freq content. Would a cap change or adjustment to the pot/gear linkage help? Existing tone cap looks to be original .047 uF

Thanks!
Scott

Sample found on Reverb,, this is not mine by the way.

Easy enough to increase the value of the cap , which will roll off more highs . You can clip another cap across the existing one . Try .047 , and see how that sounds .

I see two caps on the tone control, and it's possible that the smaller disc one is a "treble bleed" cap. If there's one on your pedal, try unhooking one lead of that one, or just removing it entirely, and see if that makes a difference. Winking

Also, make sure the tone control shaft is actually turning, as a broken tooth will stop it from working.
