All of a sudden, there is white noise when there is an effects pedal used. Happens when the pedal is in line after the volume pedal or in the effects loop. I’ve checked with different cables in all locations and with a different volume pedal. It’s quiet as a church mouse with no effects pedal. Any ideas on what’s happening?

Roger, I suppose you also tried a different power supply? I had a pedal with that issue and when on battery it was fine. Otherwise I'm thinking impedance mismatch, unless this pedal was used previously with no issues.

Roger, what's the brand and model of the FX pedal? And is it noisy when the pedal is active, bypassed, or both?

The noise is with any effects pedal, NUX Atlantic, Zoom MS50G or Ibanez delay. I was powering from the 9 volt out on the back of the Quilter, but it’s the same if I run on batteries. The noise is there when the pedals are active and in bypass, but more prevalent when active.

Roger, I can honestly say my quilter micropro combo doesn't do that. Sounds like an amp problem. Reach out quilter for advice on repair.

I agree with Larry. Swap out all your cables first, but then consider a problem with the amp.

I’ve swapped out everything that can be swapped. I just sent a note to Quilter, hope they can advise without having to send it back for a repair.

It's why I sold mine early on..at least that's what I could hear on the first ones..didn't even try the effect loop

Problem solved! Cleaned all of the jacks with contact cleaner and it’s good to go. I reached out to Quilter and Pat was very quick to respond. Very good customer service.
