I'm 6'4, with long legs. All of my steels are set high, but I would like to find a pack-a-seat that was higher than normal, while still having foldable legs. Any ideas? Thanks.

You can probably get longer legs from a builder (Dan Rollins maybe). If you don’t need them a lot longer, you might consider these. Drill the leg caps, add washers between the slide and the leg cap, fasten the nut and reinsert the cap. I did mine, raised a bit over 1/4” and had room to go higher.

Jeff -

You might try removing the existing foldable legs and then installing additional plywood 'height' onto the bottom of your seat.

Then reinstall the original folding legs onto the additional plywood 'height.'

Might work - might not!

If you have a seat with the U shaped aluminum tubing bent legs, Check with local electric contractors, They may have a conduit bender and could make you a custom set of legs.

I'm thinking maybe, the contractor bends might not be tight enough. Just a thought. RP

I solved the problem easily. I am short, but I prefer my seat higher in the back than the front. I assume that your seat has plastic glides in the aluminum tubes. Like this:

They are replaceable as threaded inserts like this:

The feet come in numerous heights like this:

and this:

All for under $25 bucks, from Amazon. Search: "adjustable chair feet". The only tools you need are a hammer to pound the inserts in and pliers to take the old ones out.

You will have the satisfaction of doing it yourself and customizing it to your height.

I'm 6'2" and have the same problem. I have tried to raise my MSA high enough to clear my knees but the front leg height rests on the pedal board and no matter what I try I can't keep them tight enough if I extend the legs or keep them the same height. I compromise by tilting the back of the guitar slightly higher than the front, but I would like it to be level. I can probably put spacers on the front legs, but just haven't made the time to try it.

Jon Jaffe is correct, that is the best way to make the height better and still maintain the integrity of the seat.
Adjustable is way better. Very Happy Very Happy
