SN 1466 D. I am the third owner of this guitar. I bought it from Jerry Roller in 2015. It had been his player for some years. Jerry told me he got it from Dave Musgrave, who bought it new and played it on the road with, among others, Ray Price.
It is the best sounding steel I have ever played and I've played a bunch. I am only selling because I'm 77, have a bad back and just can't load it around any more. It's 8/4 with Day setup on E9 (LKL lowers Es, LKR raises) and Emmons on C6. Only variation on C6 is I swapped pedals 4 and 8, so the boo-wah is on 4. Jerry did the setup for me.
Excellent original condition throughout. The case is apparently original. While fully functional, the pic shows its years of use.
$4,800 firm. I would prefer not to ship if possible, but would consider meeting buyer within two hours of home. This would include, Branson, Springfield, MO, Fayetteville/Springdale/Rogers AR.

| I can assure you fellas that this is a TONE MONSTER of a guitar. I got to hear Dave play this guitar several times and it never disappointed me at how great it sounded. Dave gave me a little history on the guitar and you could at one time find him playing it behind Ray Price on some Youtube videos. Good luck on the sale! |

Thanks for that info, Marty. I hate to let this guitar go. I have a ‘67 bolt-on S10 that I’m playing that sounds great, but not nearly as much of a honker as this one. I first heard it when Jerry was playing it at the Little Ol’ Opry in Westfork AR where he played for many years and it blew me away. I told him if he ever wanted to sell it let me know. He did sometime later and I jumped on it.
