Fender Showman head modded for 2 6550’s instead of the 4 6L6’s.About 60 watts but with a tad more headroom.Wants to see 8 ohms but have used 4 with good results and no noticeable difference.Low miles on the tubes and pretty good shape other than a few light dings and small tears. The vibrato channel volume control has a little crackle when you turn the knob but quiet at rest. The vibrato effect is currently disconnected but can be easily reconnected.if I was going to use this again I’d have it rebiased and clean the volume pot but works fine as is.

650$ and I’ll spilt shipping. If you can pick it up I have an ex cond Larry Rogers 1x15 cab that matches.I would do a deal on that but only for local pickup.

I had a question about the ohmage. This was or is a silver face dual showman which would want to see 4 ohms. With 2 tubes it goes to 8.The face plate and grill cloth are well made repos.
All you need to do to run 2 6550's is to beef-up the screen resistors to 5 watt 1Kohm and re bias to about 60 mA per tube plate current per tube.
Hope that clears things up.

Bump for lower price
2 independent channels make it the perfect double duty amp.I played guitar and electric banjo out of the normal channel.
Great pedal platform and works particularly well for overdrive.
You can run a 4 or 8 ohm cab.I often used 2 8 ohm cabs.
New hand wired tube amps are over 2 grand….
Will trade for Classic or revalation Sarno preamp

I think that was my amp a long time ago. Really great sounding, classic Fender amp. Essentially a ‘68 silver face twin sans reverb. I missed it so much that I bought another one and put it in a single 15 cab.
You could also run it with four 6L6’s for a 4ohm output and 85 watts, or two 6L6 for 8ohm output at around 40 watts.
Very versatile amplifier!
