WOW. Mr. Rogers is in a rare neighborhood there.
No surprise, that Cajun can really play and I believe John would be proud.

Joe is currently playing/traveling with Tracy Byrd.
YES indeed Joe you sound great playing very passionately just like Pappa Hughey did.

Thanks so much for the kind comments. I had forgotten I had uploaded that video back in 2014.

It is quite interesting to go back and compare the Rittenberry original to the new Prestige model. I feel the newer Prestige offers me the high end I have been looking for up in Hugheyland. When referring specifically to strings 3, 4, & 5.....those particular strings on a steel guitar can range anywhere from a piercing razor blade to a dull shriek. I have always referred to Hughey's highs as "creamy", meaning there was no piercing razor edge in his highs, but rather a smooth silkiness to his highs.

Listen to the Prestige video below and compare with the song posted at the beginning of this thread to hear the evolution. Also take note of the differences in distance between me and the person shooting the video on their phone. And do listen to the song all the way out, I put my foot into it a littler harder after the guitar solo at 2:32....

Thanks again....

Joe is a top notch player and a top notch person. I am blessed to have been part of building β€œbig red” his Prestige, it has one of the best tones in an all pull on the market in my opinion.
If you ever get to see him with Tracy and he is on big red buckle up this guitar cuts trough the mix. No honkey mid rang scoop and no uneven notes. If you have never played a Rittenberry Prestige contact me I’ll put one in your path. Thank you all and thank you Joe for being apart of Rittenberry.
