I would suggest trading off your Maverick for one with knee levers.

Which Maverick are you taking about? The first version was the 6138 and it has a raised wood neck. It was replaced with the 6152 which was wrapped in brown vinyl and had a flush neck. It has a front mounted dead center logo plate. They had very different under carriages. _________________ Tony

I believe I've seen Maverick parts on the psgparts.com website. For installation guidance you could search the forum and the web in general for Maverick photos. Getting all the standard E9 knee pulls on a Mav is doable but tricky. But adding a knee or two isn't too difficult, as long as you aren't trying to put more than one pull on a string.
The Maverick is more limited than most other pull-release guitars because the changer fingers each only have one hole on which to hook a rod. I think they are nice guitars, though - I have a soft spot for them. I had one in the '70s that I managed to equip with a few rough-cut homemade knee levers. |

Tanner,
Jackson Steel Guitars *might* be able to help. Harry plays a hot rod 6138 with totally new undercarriage. _________________ Tony
