Here are my two Williams D12 keyless steels. I've got a Wide Body S12 on order. I've posted these before.

I don't really know. It's considerably lighter than either of the other two I pictured. It's a much smaller instrument. I think it's in neighborhood of 45 lbs. in the case, but it's probably a different case from what he uses now.

Just weighed a 4 & 5 S10. 26 pounds, 41 in case.
Bobby's is likely a bit heavier since he has a couple more pedals and knees.

Current Sierra guitar weights are somewhat dependent on what wood is chosen by the buyer wood density (therefore weight) can vary a lot even within the same species.

I've even weighed identically made cases that had a 2+ pound difference from each other.

Holy Smokes! Looks at that one!

I've never seen that headstock on an Excel. Figures, every single one is different, new and improved.

Really nice. Enjoy it!

This is a GFI S12 Keyless I got 2-3 years ago. I just got serious with playing it about 2 or 3 months ago. Why get in a hurry, COVID has shut down 2 venues where I was house band steeler.

This guitar has more sustain than any Steel I have ever played. I have a GFI S12 Keyed also, I need to set these guitars side by side and do some serious comparing of them.

I set both guitars up Day Universal myself, But the S12 keyless has an added lever LKL. I put raise 1 to G#-2 to E and lower 6 to F#. for E9th and fold up for Uni B6th playing. (Jury still out on this KL). If I keep it I will have to add it to my S12 keyed guitar also.

Stu I like your Keyless Desert Rose .
I like the body length which allows the first pedal too start behind the nut like a key model steel.
Plus the 3/4 body with pad would be my choice also.

Stu, That is one neat guitar. I love the 3/4 size body, Played an old MSA S10 for about 18 years. Love that small pad for right wrist anchor point.
