Just picked up an old Oahu square neck and I'd like to put a pickup in it, soundhole or whatever. Any suggestions?

I like the Baggs M-1 or EMG ACS.

I ended up going with the Baggs M1. Mostly because my local music store had it in stock and could install it. sounds pretty good so far.

| The Fishman sound hole pickups work really well for this. Even sounds great going into a guitar amp. I have the baggs too, but imo doesn’t sound as good as the Fishman, and the bass is a little harder to tame. |

I also tried on of these plexiglass pickup adapters....
https://www.thetonegod.com/acousticpickupadapter
...with a humbucker pickup. It was a cool experiment, but it pretty much wiped out the acoustic sound of the guitar altogether, just turned it into a lap steel. |
