Sad news. He did an CD with the great Herby Wallace and was part of his live set at the St Louis Steel Convention. Incredible and gifted violinist.

Sad news.

Larry, I do not remember him being on stage with Herby at the ISGC. Would you happen to know what year that was?

I recall purchasing his CD "The Fiddler" directly from him at the ISGC, somewhere about 2001. I know he performed but not sure if it was with Herbie or Joe Wright.

I remember playing with Alex on at least 2 occasions at ISGC. He appears on 2 of my CDs as well, Cohen Goin' Country & Home James (killer fiddle solo on "Bus Stop"). Would have been around the time he was playing with Herby.
