I am very sad to read this. You could always count on Timmy Turlock to provide a high-spirited, unpredictable aspect to any endeavor.

Sorry to hear about this. We played a lot of gigs together when he was out here in LA.
What Earnest said goes for me, too. I knew & played with both Tommy & Timmy...
RIP Tommy...

Sad news.
Tommy had a great little Recording Studio in Marble Falls, Texas in the late ninety's.

I'm reminded of the first time I heard Tommy's playing on the "Highway 101" tune, Walkin Talkin Cryin Barely Beatin Broken Heart.

I'm sad to hear this! I knew Tommy back in the eighties when he was in the SoCal area. We played at the same club in North Long Beach called the "DJ Ranch". I was with Clark Rohn 6 nights a week on Lead & Steel and Tommy played on Sunday afternoon and Monday nights with another group. I'd go in on Sundays early to listen to them play. He was doing lead guitar only and a damn good job of it. We were talking during a break once when he asked me about my setup on my old ShoBud S-12. Then he told me that he played "a little steel" and before that day I never even suspected he was a steeler also as he played such good guitar. RIP Tommy!

Very sad... Tommy was a great player and a really fun guy to be around. He and I crossed paths a lot during his Nashville years; late 80s and into the 90s are the times I recall. Sad to say we didn't see much of each other in more recent years.

Way too young...

Sorry to hear of Tommy’s passing. He was a heck of a musician. I have fond memories of gigs with him and acquiring my first steel after playing my Maverick for awhile. Tommy sold me a pretty red ShoBud Professional. I think he had purchased new in 1973 in Hollywood CA? My condolences to the family. RIP

Wow this was a shock and a sad one too. My brother from Georgia, Tennessee Lee called me last week and told me Tommy was in hospice. I had mentioned I worked with Tommy back in 1974 at the Iron Gate in Ft Worth Tx with Ronnie Mack a great singer song writer for Mel Tillis. I ran into Tommy a couple times at Bill Hearns Hole in the Wall studio in Ft Worth the past couple of years....so sad you just never know. RIP old friend....
