I’ve looked through some of the sticky but haven’t found anything so far to answer my question. I’m assuming it’s a 6139 but curious if anyone may be able to narrow down the date this steel was made? Absolutely love it’s tone! Thanks for your help

Yes they called that a Single-10 Professional back in the day.
Doesn't get much better than that.... and since you've played that Emmons and that particular sho-bud; now you know that Sho~bud blows the doors off that Emmons in sound; and I can tell you why....but I'm not...Just enjoy.

Thanks for the info, Ricky, much appreciated! Honestly, I was taken aback by the tone of that Sho~Bud. To my ears it has THE perfect sound that I’m looking for. I do love the Emmons too and like it’s feel in string tension and pedal/lever action a little better, but the tone of the Bud more than makes up for it. |

Thanks for the info, Ricky, much appreciated! Honestly, I was taken aback by the tone of that Sho~Bud. To my ears it has THE perfect sound that I’m looking for. Way Cool Eric. That is exactly why Lloyd Green still plays and records with his very old Sho~Bud....I totally Agree; as "SOUND" will/should always win out over anything else".

The Main first vibrating points are "The Fingers; and mounted to Tailpiece; mounted to (hard rock; and curly and birdseye...etc...MAPLE) held together and mounted to Endplates and Keyhead.
The finger tops are 6061 Alumium.
The other big metal pieces I mentioned are "Casted out of same metal mixture".
So that is the main mixture of parts that so far; no builder has Copied in their entirety; therefore Sho-bud from Permanent to first year Pro-II and LDG; have this mixture of sho-bud parts and sound; that can not and has not been copied therefore can't be in same category of sound. Sho~bud is Sho~Bud; then there's everyone else.
Now this sound started being lost with Sho~Bud after the 6061 Aluminum Finger tops(with Pin)..so when you start to hook string on a finger that has Groove; you have started loosing that classic Sho~bud vibration sound..
