What is the best polish to use on old instruments with the Nitro Cellulose finish ?

I'd suggest only cleaning not polishing.
Damp not wet microfibe cloth for anything water soluble
Naptha for anything not removed by the above.

breath and soft cotton cloth. if a little dirty, warm water with a small amount of dishsoap and a damp sponge.
and, as jeff mentions, naphtha for grungy areas.

After cleaning with Naptha. I use a straight carnauba wax. Very light coat. Let dry. Buff off with soft lint free rag. Grab your sun glasses.
