One of my all time favorites, Charlie Walker!

But I am wondering if anyone else is bothered by the continued clapping of the audience with the beat!
To me this music can stand alone by itself. Great band with Wanda Vick on fiddle and Tommy White on steel. But I think the clapping is too much. At least the snare drum is out in the mix drowning it out a bit!?!?!?

I hear you! Years ago I played in a bluegrass band and everywhere we played a lot of people just insisted on clapping.I hated it.Clapping out of time, drowning out the music, you name it.

Save the clapping for introduction of band members and the end of songs and performances.

I can't stand clapping in church, either.Save it for outdoors.

Be happy that you're not in Scandinavia. Over here they all clap too, but always on 1 and 3, which is ten times worse...

I agree. More often than not, they start the clapping at the start of the song, and get tired and quit after the first verse..... after they have managed to destroy the groove of the song. Sad thing is that they think we enjoy having them do it. I think it's distracting from the music, but I realize that most people don't take the actual music as serious as I do and just want to enjoy themselves.

Loved It! Thanks for posting. Could have done without the clapping also. I wonder if that was the same band as on Nashville Now?

A lot of Pentecostals in Scandinavia? Laughing A drummer friend of mine pointed out they always clap on 1 and 3 in his church.

The show was Prime Time Country on TNN( the Nashville network) . Heart warming to see this clip of my neighbor, church pew mate and long time friend Charlie Walker!

Love the music. That many people clapping indicated they were instructed to do so. So many of the shows ask the audience to clap. I was not a fan of this idea.
