excellent ! Proving once again that its not the gear. A simple setup in the right hands will get the job done.

It always come back to "Performance" .

Carmen,

That sounded great. I've been thinking about doing some recording on the iPad I recently got. Could you tell us about your set up? Thanks so much.

Posted this after someone inquired on the Steel on the Web.
I forgot to mention I do go direct, no mikes or amp.
Let me know how else I can help .

Carmen,

I'm sort of new to digital recording. I plan on installing Garage Band on my iPad and plugging in my lap steel via an IRig Pro, which has a headphone jack, or similar device. I would imagine the Baggs DI wouldn't be necessary?

Thanks again,

Ian

Very nicely done. "Cast Your Fate" is a beautiful tune. Always been a fave. It's nice to hear a non-piano rendition.

Good job, thanks.

BTW: Carman has a Christmas CD that is really nice as well. Not sure if he still has them available but it is worth a listen.

It’s still available.
You can listen to all on YouTube.
This recording was done also on the same
GarageBand for I-Pad set up.
I used individual purchased track downloads from
Karaoke Version .com. Permission was granted
but they would not give the names of the backup
musicians. Too bad because they made the album
possible.
Inexpensive recording that gave me incredible
pleasure to create and share with family and friends.
