Here's a phone video of me recording some steel for the Cuban rock band, Sweet Lizzy Project.

https://fb.watch/8BXBZvEP0s/ (you may need to click on the speaker icon in the bottom left corner of the video to hear the audio)

This song, and the entire album (titled "Pirate Radio"), is an anthem for the people of Cuba who are currently suffering greatly under an oppressive communist regime. They are being denied adequate food and medicine, and if they take to the streets to protest they are being beaten, arrested, or killed. The Cuban government has basically shut down the internet there, so it's hard to get updates about what is going on.

It is pretty sobering to think Cubans will hear this song, Dreaming Of A Revolution, by risking arrest to listen on pirate radios (illegal radios that pick up the Miami radio stations). My hope is that somehow this album may change the heart of those who have the power and influence in Cuba.

Here is the song. Where you see the guitarist playing slide, that is actually me playing my StringMaster. And on the outro I doubled and tripled (up an octave) what the guitar was playing on my steel. I hope this song does some good somehow for the people of Cuba.

Don’t wanna be a party pooper, but the parts of this post referring to a nation’s political problems might be best left for another forum…

Sounds good. The overdrive and delay on the steel are perfect for that style. Well done.
