is there a mod kit for a peavey bandit or a bandit 65. can't seem to get more bass out my bandit 15" 1502 in a tommy huff cabinet ...

The Bandit 65 can be modded with Burr Brown chips.

If I remember right, my Bandit 65 has 4 of the 2134 chips in it. That, along with a mellower speaker, made a huge difference in the usefulness of that amp for steel. If you just play E9 it’s all you really need.

Hi Paul ,I bought a BANDIT 65 ,from Bob Tuttle here on the forum and he said he had ,some mods put in it ,I don’t know how to repost that thread but if you check out Bobs post he put the mod number on that post.they are great lil amps Very Happy

The problem with most amps is that the excessive mids of a pedal steel completely "wash out" the lows. So, if you want better bass, you'll have to turn down the mids. Try setting the bass at max, the mids all the way off (or nearly so), and then use just the treble control to adjust your tone.

Hi Ken, what difference could I expect if I changed the chips in my Peavey 65 amp. Also would a 15'' Deltalite speaker help. comments from anyone else would also be appreciated
