Eminence offers impulse responses of their speaker line. They have IR's of the Travis Toy and the Paul Franklin speakers also.

Unfortunately they failed when it comes to the sound examples. They endorse these brilliant steel players, bring out signature speakers - and the sound examples are played by metal guitarists! Laughing
Has anyone tried them out and is willing to share their experience?
Thank you!
Ollie

I have two short samples, One is TT12 and the other is the Telonics 12. They were both made with a Peavey Nashville 112 with the speakers installed in the NV112 (same amp EQ settings for both samples). I was trying to decide which speaker I wanted in the Nashville 112. It was a toss up so I kept the Telonics that that was installed in the amp when I bought it.

e-mail me and I'll send the files to you.

On a related subject I now have a Quilter Travis Toy 12 amp, with a TT12 speaker, and I liked it so much that I sold the Nashville 112.

My TT-12, in an open back GPA cabinet, powered by an old PV Session 400 head, sounds divine.

Thanks Oliver for making me aware of these. I think I could import these into my Kemper and try them all out. I'll have to read up on that. I've had the thing (Kemper) for quite a while and seems like I'm just beginning with it.

Thank you guys for the responses!
While I'm of course also interested in how the real speakers sound/compare with different amps and cabinets, my question was actually specifically about the mentioned IR's Eminence offers.
I'd like to know how useful these IR's are for silent rigs and recording pedal steel. Capturing an impulse response of a speaker involves so many variables (mics, mic positions, cabinets, rooms, experience, taste, luck, ect.), I'm often perplexed how vastly different captures of the same speaker by different producers turn out.
These are the first IR's of speakers taylored specifically with pedal steel in mind that I'll came across - and provided officially by the company itself. If they put the same quality in their digital products as in their hardware, this would be promising. The provided sound exsamples doesn't make it easy to hit the add to cart button, though. Rolling Eyes
Scott, you're welcome. I just found them by accident. If you're valiant to try them, please let me know!

I'm anxious to try them. Partly because I've hardly ever messed with IRs but mostly because those speakers have such great reviews. I'd think Eminence wouldn't put out anything that wasn't pretty faithful to the speakers. Also having them mic'd so many ways. I won't get to it for a few days but I'd say at $12 for each of them I won't hesitate to get both.

I bought the IRs for the PF350, the TT12, and the Wheelhouse 150. They all sound fairly good, but I haven't tried to use any of them playing direct into the PA with a band. I have a gig coming up where I will have to play direct (the casino's rules) so should have more to say later. For now I tend to favor the PF350, but the Wheelhouse is a close second.

I’m using the PF350 ir with a Michael Britt LW 50 profile on my Kemper and noticed an improvement right away over the Divided by 13 cab Michael uses for most of his profiles. You just load the downloaded ir’s into Kemper rig manager.

I switched to peavey seesion 4x12 IR. Sounds way better..

I used the ir files on my headrush gigboard but the pf 350 is really muddy in the mid and the tt 12 makes your ears blead 😑🤦‍♂️🤣

Guess im doing something wrong :p
