Here's a Bill Frisell/Ry Cooder style ramble I did today...steel playing is almost controlled (and tasteful) just to prove a point perhaps! I'll put the vibrato pedal away now!!

Enjoy

Enjoyed it, thanks for posting. Always up for a bit of Frisell vibe - and vibrato pedal.

That's a beautiful pensive, plodding, song, Gary.
Very nice steel.
Bill Frisell and his band's show was the last show I saw before covid shut things down.
He uses a cello player to play bass, which sounded great.

Thanks Joe, Chris and Rick...appreciate it.

Clearly, the vibrato pedal is the key to the hearts of the Forumites!!

It's the first time I ever used it...I'm a bit slow on the uptake!!

Wah Wah next.

Cheers Guys

Gary,

I enjoy your music, thanks! For work, I have a Pandora station that I made based on Iron and Wine. It generates some cool tunes/bands and I'm always surprised when I find a new band, using "ambient" steel. I'm glad to see the instrument branch off in new directions.
