Road Warrior, owned by local legend. Has since had a Bob Littleton refinish and a Bob Muller rebuild. 8&4, Emmons, Es on left. Barrels behind two hole pullers. Looks great, plays great. Wife says "ya play shitty, why do you need 5 guitars?"
I have no compelling counter-argument. Have $3200 in it, would like to get that back, and will throw in a leg bag and a ShoBud volume pedal to boot. Hatton split cases.

Has a couple of idiosyncracies/battle scars/beauty marks/premalignant lesions, depending on your viewpoint. Former owner's SSN on one end plate. Pack-a-seat badge where decal would normally be on front apron. Actually looks pretty good.
Pretty much completely uninterested in shipping, but would drive a reasonable way in the Pacific Northwest to deliver. |

Did you retro the Pro III undercarriage to a Professional/Pro II, or is it the latter with aluminum necks?

| Not sure I understand the question. Every Pro III I can find in a picture has metal necks. I believe this guitar came stock with barrels behind two hole pullers, though some of the current hardware has a Coop/Morehouse/Yahl pedigree. |

Ken - No question that all Pro III's had aluminum necks. I should know that a guitar that has been rebuilt/renewed might not be the same as original. It's hard to tell from the pictures what changers you have. They appear to be single/single as the Professional and Pro II's. I thought that the Pro III's were introduced with a double raise and single lower changer. Also, the allen head socket tuners and barrel adjusters were replaced by nylon tuners on the Pro III.
Knowing that those three guys were involved in the underside of the guitar ensures smooth playability and long term dependability! The color combination and white fretboards really jumps out.
I now have 4 guitars (three Sho~Buds) so my wife won't let me have another.

A round-front/barrels behind 2 hole pullers Pro III could be the rarest of rare birds.
But then again, that's kinda what Sho-Bud always did...they did many one-offs.

Yup, Eric’s. A pretty cool, unusual guitar previously owned by a pretty cool, unusual guy. I believe that despite the overhaul and years of hard playing, this guitar is in its original configuration, but prettier.
Probably sounds better too. Though it almost certainly sounded better at its roughest point with Eric than it does with me!!!! |

I think Eric used white glitter paint on these fretboards. Actually a professional looking job and I think the effect is great. And easy to see in a dark environment. |
