Very cool and rare matching 1940s lap steel and amp set. Here's a link to to a demo clip I made on Instagram:

Lap steel: The set is finished in green MOTS. The finish on the lap steel is perfect. The steel plays just fine (see demo link above) and the pickup is bright and strong. The case is original. One of the cardboard hinges is broken but otherwise it's in pretty good shape.
Amplifier: The amp is 2 6V6s into a 10" blue alnico speaker and puts out 10 watts or so. The finish on the amp has worn away in several spots as you can see from the photos, but is mostly (75% ?) intact. The original hand painted tropical scene is still strong and clear on the grille. The amp was a rat's nest of wires and non functioning so I had it rebuilt along the lines of a 5E3 Tweed Deluxe circuit. It features controls for volume, bass and treble as well as another volume control for a second gain stage. You can get clean vintage sounds for western swing and old country, or crank it up for some hair raising hi gain sounds. Most Maggies of this vintage will require an expensive complete servicing and/or rebuild. This one is ready to go. Shipping will be about $50 stateside only
