When Billy couldn't make his regular gig on the 1950s LA TV show Town Hall Party, he called Marian Hall to sub for him. They asked Marian to stay and Billy lost the gig.

I really enjoyed his version of steel guitar rag on the pedal steel, probably with extended rods so he could play standing.
