This "Under-The-Bed-50-Years"-find might be my b-day present to myself and as I was researching it I can't find another Gibson EH fretboard with 3 dots at the 7th and 19th frets.

Ideas?

It's documented in Duchossoir's book - some 1936 batches have one or three dots at frets that were eventually standardized with two.

A beautiful instrument. And a 7-string no less. Happy birthday (nice present)!

Feel like a little kid the night before christmas morning. I pick up the lil' guy in 2 hours and 45 minutes (but who's counting and is it weird showing up an hour early?)

Just noticed it looks like a reentrant tuning. Pretty darn excited to get the books as well - I think the black folio is the original Gibson System for Hawaiian Guitar book they got when they bought it. Comes with 3 "sliders" and original set of spare strings.

Congratulations. Maybe you should name her “Dottie”.
