Anyone of you out there knows a good source where to get backing tracks from or do you create them by yourself using BIAB or similar?

Recommendations are very appreciated.

Thanks Dale,
I was thinking more of single tracks as used in Karaoke. When one is looking for just one or other track then the a CD is to expensive.

www.karaoke-version.com is a good one. They have a huge list of songs that you can customize to your personal liking, including the key of the song.

Why not make your own--if you can play rhythm and bass, get a four track recorder, sing a song and play rhythm and use a drum machine--then add bass, then a muted bass beat on the guitar and if you want, a little single string lead guitar--put this on a CD and you got a band without the steel guitar which you do and, this way, you know exactly what's happening in the song. I've got a 4 track Fostex cassette that I use and then make a CD from it. There's newer ones that are digital and make the CD's. Just a suggestion, but it's something having you as your own band.

Just as Bob Jennings said, is wonderful. I downloaded a program called MIXPAD. You can add 7 tracks to it, and very easy to use. I also got a program called PITCH SWITCH, if I want to change to a different key. All you need is a microphone, and your in business. All is 10 times easier than band in a box. You sing the sang, and play rhythm, then play back, adding the next instrument, and so on. Even put a harmony voice on it, and you have a complete song, all done with just you. If you like your steel part, save it and move on to another song. I am not a computer whiz, but this setup is so easy.

I just ran across this BIAB is easy to make backing tracks Just about any song you can think of biab will make you a backing track type in the key you want then figure out what chords you ll need you can jazz it up if you want by adding jazz chords or subs find a rythum you like add an intro if needed and presto there ya have a backing track for you to play the melody or even sing if you like .Only thing BIAB is expensive.
