Changed strings today and of course broke my 3rd string....GHS .011. I don't have any replacements and have a gig tues and wed.....has anyone ever used a GHS electric guitar string as an emergency replacement. Ordered a bunch from GHS but won't be here until the end of the week.

Electric guitar strings are usually no different than PSG strings.

| The answer is yes. I order bulk sets of .011 strings along with a few of the other gauges. They are standard guitar strings. While I prefer the wrap on steel guitar strings, these work fine and are always in my seat. |

I use any kind of strings, and have even used banjo strings occasionally. The major difference is the twist at the ball end. If it's too long, it will come over the top of the changer - not good! If it doesn't, you're good to go.  |
