Texas/Montana singer/songwriter Chris Wall passed away last night in hospice care in Austin after losing his battle with cancer.

Chris was a great entertainer and songwriter, whose most well-known song was "Trashy Women," performed by Jerry Jeff Walker (RIP), Confederate Railroad, and others. I'm sure many friends and fans will mourn his passing. Too many of us are leaving the scene it seems.

“I play classical music when it rains
And country when I am in pain
I won't play Beethoven 'cause the mood's just not right
I feel like Hank Williams tonight”

Thanks, Chris.

I tried to access the Jerry Jeff link, and an exclamation mark appears and the words video not available.

I had to go scrounge up a YouTube of "Honky Tonk Heart". I haven't heard it in years, but it's still one of my favorite songs of all times.

Since I have read the sad news of his passing yesterday, his No Sweat CD was on rotation many times. What a great album!
