Any of you Tedeschi-Trucks fans check out the new "Layla Revisited?'
Recorded live at Lock'n, featuring Trey Anatasio, it is a re-do of Derek and the Dominoes, with all the dynamics and energy that I love about seeing Tedeschi-Trucks live.
Really good recording, all the songs on the original album. They are at the top of my list of touring bands, and I think they actually un-garbled alot of the Layla album and improved upon it. Cool jams.

Thanks Brooks for this posting! Layla is one of those albums that I went thru several copies of back in the day of albums.
Tedeschi and Trucks are always top shelf performers and hats off to them for this performance.
Will be ordering a copy of this cd/dvd. |

Drummer Jim Gordon wrote the piano intro to Layla, which is very interesting as well.

Speaking of interesting, I hadn't looked into Jim Gordon for many many years. Holy Crap, I didn't know about his murder conviction and schizophrenia and all.

Yes, I found out about it back in 1982 after my buddy read an article about him in Rolling Stone. About that same time I was interviewing Randy Meisner and asked him about where Jim went and he said they had the same accountant, and didn't really answer since he was a bit under the weather 
Supposedly Jim plays in the prison band and has denied himself parole a few times. Sad story such a talented guy.
My buddy who is a documentary film maker would love to do a story about him, and has written him, but has had no reply and California law prohibits inmates from profiting from any book or move about them, or something like that.
Hope the human metronome is ok these days, again, a very sad story.
