Does the Goodrich Omni pedal duplicate (and thus render unnecessary) the buffer function of the matchbox? I am aware, of course, that it does not replace the tone and gain control on the matchbox.

Mike, my understanding is that it is one model, but you can turn off the active feature to make it passive. Presumably you then lose the buffering function and have, essentially, a 120-like passive pedal. Maybe Jim or Kevin will jump in to correct me if I'm mistaken.

Thanks Ben; I think the pedals are active and passive but you’re right about being able to bypass an active pedal or use a 9 volt battery, mine however is simply passive. I really like the sound of the passive pedal and don’t like plugging in power cables etc. , I felt this passive pedal sounded better than my L-120 so all is good, thanks for your input!
