Bought this amp. Plugged it in and wow. It is light weight and the 12 inch speaker kicks butt. Best sounding amp I have heard in a long while. Plugged in my Benado Steel Dream pedal and it is wonderful. Still playing with the amp settings, but started with the Travis Toy settings he put on the forum, and adjusted from there. You should check this out. I am very happy Travis put this together.

I haven’t used a Telonics Amp, but I can tell you the TT Quilter amp is hard to beat, and the good thing is if you want to use a 15” cabinet you can remove the amp section and use it with the 15 cabinet. Sounds great either way.

Has anyone tried the Steelaire version from Quilter.
How did you like it?

I love my TB-202,which is the amp section of the TT amp...

I prefer the 15"speaker,so I use the Eminence EPS speaker in a Marrs cab...

I'm very happy with it.

I love mine. I have the TT12 combo with a extra TT12 cab. I also use the TB202 with a 15"JBL for the more vintage 60s sound. They all sound great.

I bought a TB202 from my old pal Tommy Detamore, built a cabinet and put an Eminence EPS speaker in it. I've used it on some gigs and several sessions, and it has been great. It also is much easier on the back! By the way, Tommy was a great guy to deal with.

As I previously posted I couldn't get a sound I liked with the Steelaire and a Franklin D-10 steel (with Lawrence 710 pickups). Same way with the Franklin and a Quilter amp head and several different speakers including a Telonics TSNEO-12.

I now have a GFI Ultra D-10 with Lawrence 710 pickups. I recently (Thursday) picked up a Quilter Travis Toy model amp. Bingo! within 2 minutes I found "my" sound. With my downsizing, the Quilter TT fits in as its 27lbs compared to 44 for a stock NV112 (or 10lbs lighter than my customized NV112).

Is the 202 and the TT amp the same tone stack? Only difference is the power output?

The Travis Toy model uses a stock 202 amp.

Has anyone tried the TT15 compared to the Telonics? What are your thoughts if any?

This was the most recent thread I've found concerning the TT-12... I just got one, really like it but I have a question...

I will be switching back and forth between steel and 6 string and will therefore have the 202 on a tray mounted on my steel legs. I'll need to run a cable from the 202 to the cab... the one that came with it is too short (not its intended purpose) and I am looking for recommendations for a longer cable --- 10 - 12 feet ought to do it. Concerned about noise/loss of fidelity.

Thoughts? Thank you IA

Landon, this is my favorite speaker cable by a large margin. It’s all I use live and in the studio. They sell a variety of lengths.

Thanks Travis. I don’t reckon that’s no big deal.
