Does anyone make a copy of the Trotmore 7 string

Now have a SX 6 string lap in G,.A Tele plus telecaster, Larrivee acoustic.Also have a Fender resonator guitar with new Quarterman cone and spider,and an Allan tailpiece.Playing through a Fender Super Champ XD,using a little delay on the amp and a Harmonix Holy Grail Echo pedal,set on Hall turned to about 1pm.Just got a Fender Dual 6 Stringmaster style. Bought a Yamaha FGX5 Recently and love it.

Boy are you an optimist. There were hardly any original Trotmore guitars and a 7 string no less?
Well Jerry Byrd had a strong enough influence to have inspired a custom builder to make some. That's your best bet. Good luck on your quest.

Well.... theres this original Trotmore. I might part with it for a price commensurate with its rarity..

Most Trotmores have 7 strings. It would actually be rarer to find one with 6.

I don't know of anyone making steels that look like the Trotmore, but there are a few folks making aluminum frying pans with 6 or 8 strings, such as Clinesmith. While the Trotmore pickup is a bit less hot than a Rickenbacker, the difference is relatively small.

Yes he makes frying pans but I think his other cast aluminum model is very reminiscent of a Trotmore and of course Todd Clinesmith will make a 7 string if you want.
