I've got a 4-wire mini-humbucker from Guitar Fetish. I simply want to install it as a humbucker for now. No switch, no coil tap.

The color code is identified as:

White = Coil Tap
Red = Signal +
Black = Ground
Copper = Pickup Shield Ground

It has this (and only this) instruction:

To make Humbucker operate as a single coil, connect the white wire of the 4-wire lead via a switch to:
Ground (-) = Bridge Side Coil
Positive (+) = Neck Side Coil

All this does is confuse me --- pickup electronics are my biggest weakness.

All I want is a straight no-frills humbucking hook up.
Do I solder the white wire to anything or do I just cap it off?

After some digging I finally found a graphic on their site that I had missed that indicates that the white wire gets tied off. So I believe that this is asked & answered.
