I played all real instruments on this one except the fiddles and I played a keyboard using fiddle samples which ain't that great but I am practicing fiddle but not ready to embarrass myself yet. 😂
I played my homemade EMCI built from eBay, Steel Forum and Jim Palenscar parts with E-66 direct to Audient id14 interface. Added some reverb in the mix.
This was the only drinking song in the bunch and I thought it would be a good opportunity to do a Texas shuffle.

Me too! Thank you friend! I'm gonna write a steel instrumental in a slow shuffle as soon as I finish my current customer work. Touch my heart kinda thing. |

Thanks friend! They were free on the internet but I found a payware fiddle that's pretty convincing. I'm a software junkie. 😂 |

The idea of being able to do all the stuff you do is VERY appealing to me, but it's all I can do to get a squeal out of the steel with an occasional bass line added to it.... the steel alone takes me forever cause I'm not polished enough to one time through it. And then to add drums, which I've never played or know how to think and piano and guitar and then fiddles too, would be very daunting for me. _________________ Dale Rottacker, Steelinatune™

The steel is by far the biggest mountain to climb and I'm still at the bottom. Maybe my total mediocrity combined makes a joyful sound. 😂 |

Thank you Rick! I sure enjoy your one man band productions. You are so right. What normally took me 3 minutes with a room full of good studio players takes me 3 hours to 3 days. 😂 These lyrics with no melody are proving to be a special challenge because most of the words are not metering out. They are just learning songwriting. I added the second verse myself. I don't mind, it pays. I need to learn how to video this stuff. You got some great videos Rick! |

Thank you Sir. It just for fun, and a way for me to play the music I want to play. I learn something everytime I do one of these. It's not easy being the roadie, play all the instruments, write the song, sing all the vocals, program all the MIDI and synth instruments, engineer the session, master it, be the producer, do the video editing, etc... I'm not complaining. I enjoy it. The way music is recorded and produced has certainly changed. It accomplishes what I want to do. It's funny, the people (family and friends) that listen to my stuff prefer it this way. I could go to Nashville, book a good studio, hire Nashville's finest session players, and make a really pro record...... and my "fans" would say "have you got anymore of those where you do all the playing and singing"? It took me years to figure out that the general public are not picking records apart and looking for the best musicians, etc... All they want is to be entertained and enjoy listening to it. Us musicians are the ones that over complicate things. Keep up the good work. I want to hear more.
