The great folks at Mission Park Funeral Home took time and effort to create a memorial video for Johnny Bush, with a retrospective of his career, interviews with friends, family, former Bandoleros, lots of great photos, and the wonderful musical performance at his funeral by the current (and last) group of Bandoleros. Very emotional.

The video is about 30 minutes long, and fans of JB would probably enjoy it a lot, especially if you knew or met the man. He was a brother, and a true and trusted friend.

Thanks for sharing that Herb. I have fond memories of riding in my aunt’s 1968 Ford LTD as a 10 year old listening to the Undo The Right album on the 8 track and then wearing out the RCA records as a teenage steel guitar beginner. I still listen to them regularly. His stuff was just the best!

So you can imagine one of the very top highlights of my weekend warrior “career” was being asked to play bass on Johnny’s shows a couple of times at the SWSGA steel show! I’m not generally much of a “fan” but that is an autographed set list I treasure.

RIP Johnny. You’ve given us so much great music.
