Wow, Faron Young is just plain fantastic.
I sure wish Cal Sharp would come back and lay some more "monster from the back of the bus" stories on us. |

I believe it is Darrell McCall on bass.
Man, they sure were a sharp looking band.
And the young Ben - movie star good looks.
The last time I saw Ben play live was a number of years ago in San Francisco @ Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
He was playing steel for Neil's ex-wife Pegi Young. I've always thought Pegi was a good backup singer, but at the time I didn't think she was really "ready for primetime" as a front woman.
I was at that stage on that particular day strictly to watch Big Ben Keith.
