Ive recently picked up a 1961 English electronics Tonemaster console steel in great condition and love the sound of the pick up. Im not an expert and would like to know what your thoughts are on this lap steel?
Thanks. |

I believe all of those steels were built by Valco. They were nice instruments in their day, not particularly expensive but not shabby either. Those with the string-through pickup are particularly favored by rock players today. |

Yep, what Noah said is right. '61 would definitely be a string through Valco and if its in good nick it ought to be a great guitar. |
