Can you use a Electro Spanish Model B with a warped neck for slide or should I pass?

The majority of those (and the tenor version) have warped necks. They had thinner necks than the steel counterparts and the material just didn't hold up under the string tension.
I don't see any reason why you couldn't use it for slide, though the square-necked steels are built a bit more robustly. |

Definitely an interesting proposition if the price is right. Let us know how it goes!
I believe I have read before that round neck guitars should not be played in high bass tunings (like the dobro tuning) and also I believe the likes of C6th because they have too much tension for the neck.
Though I do not have any personal experience with this.
That may be a consideration, because if the neck was warped with standard guitar tuning, a high tension steel guitar tuning could exacerbate the warping. |
