Please Close - Sold on Reverb. - THANKS for looking!

This is a very clean, low usage tube amp head in very good condition. This boutique tube amp was designed by Andy Marshall and was hand built in Seattle sometime around 2005. It is all stock with no mods or repairs. This amp head is in great working condition and all functions and features work to spec. The only defect is a chipped insulator on tube 2 bias socket which does not affect the adjustment or operation of the amp. See the close up shot of the back panel.

The amp’s weight is 46 pounds (including cables and foot switch and padded gig bag). The amp’s shipping weight is 52 pounds from zip code 01451. Buyer pays shipping. The amp will be packaged very well to withstand the normal abuse expected from the usual shipping suspects. A refund of $40.00 will be made for local pick up with no packaging.

The Flexi-50 is a precision hand-built 50-watt Class-AB amplifier with foot-switchable overdrive/boost, foot-switchable master volume control and the ability to use almost any pre-amp and power tubes in any combination, including 6L6, EL34, 6V6, 6CA7,8417, 6550, KT66, KT77, KT88, KT90, KT100, EL84 (with Yellow Jacket adapter),6K6, 6F6, 12AX7, 12AY7, 12AU7, 12AT7, 12AZ7, 12DW7, 12BH7, ECC83, ECC82, ECC81 and many more. This gives the user a huge pallet of available sounds simply by changing tubes. It really is a “tube roller’s” dream come true.

It is easy to swap out many different kinds of output tubes and then to perform a very simple re-biasing operation with the test sockets on the rear of the amp. The dual bias controls permit the user to correctly bias even mismatched tubes, eliminating the need for matched power tubes. All that is needed is a multi-meter and a small flat blade screw driver to easily and safely re-bias the tubes. The tech manual is included that explains all this very clearly.

The amplifier head has a fat, clear, full clean sound reminiscent of late 1950s to early 1960s American combos. Overdrive can be dialed in to rival the best British heads. There is plenty of detailed information available on the net and reviews and technical information is plentiful there.

PayPal and Venmo is OK. Please contact me with any questions.
