I'm trying to find someplace local to repair these two volume pedals. I can't remember the ohm value of the pots I need. I "think" it was 5k but something in the back of my mind says that may not be right. 50K? These are both for PSG.

Advice please....

Thanks,
Ed

500K Ω is the value most pedal steel guitar players like. The old AB, Clarostats etc. are no longer available. Dunlop or Goodrich 470K has been found to be a suitable and reliable replacement.

Depending on your location, there are several knowledgeable and capable players in your state that could accomplish pot replacement for you I'm sure.

Blake Hawkins or Jack Stoner to name a couple...but Florida is a big state.

Thank you Jerry. At least I knew better than trust my memory. Blues Angel Music in Pensacola can do the work if they can get the parts, waiting on email reply right now.

I see. I should have noted that these pots need to be audio taper variety.

I didn't know that either. Thanks again.

If I can get the pots I can have them replaced closer to home.

Blake and I are a long way from Pensacola. We are in the Tampa area.

Bill Ferguson lives in Milton and is a Goodrich dealer and should have pots. He may even be able to fix them for you.

He is a forum member so send him a PM.

I'm 50 miles east of Pensacola so Milton is a short drive. Much closer than Pensacola.

Thanks !
