That harp guitar is pretty wild, but they did seem fairly common back then.

I can remember playing a Joseph Kekuku festival here in Dover NJ way back around 2003 or so. Apparently he is buried there after settling down, marrying and living there.

Indeed it is...went to the UIOWA link in the bottom of the pic. Here's all four pages of it:

John Troutman was a longtime member here and his book is required reading for anyone interested in the thread steel guitar weaves through American music.
