Thanks for that suggestion Larry, that might work.

I tried finding a nylon/rubber faucet washer, but couldn't find one that was quite thin enough to go in the gap..

I think I'm just going to carry my pedal into Home Depot and walk up and down the hardware aisle.. Smile

Bill those washers are very thin and might be the ticket. Probably not much available at Home Depot. A good hardware store would have them but we no longer have them. Look in the specialty drawers there and Lowes or Menards. Otherwise Amazon or McMaster Carr online.

Reviving this thread, as I see that Goodrich now has a 'Tension Axle' that would cure the problem of the drooping pedal. I've seen it here on YouTube:

I don't seem to be able to find it on the Goodrich webpage or elsewhere online. Hopefully Kevin will see this and advise?

Bill that's a certain fix. You're right, not on the website. Probably call or email Kevin. Did you ever get yours working better?

Larry, I did not. Mainly because I bought a couple of Emmons drop-pin pedals that I like a lot, and the L-120s became sort of a backup. I had other things to do, and never got back to this problem. That said, I'd like to get it fixed.

I'll email Kevin, and post back here with any new info.

Bill, please keep us posted about the L120 fix. I'm sure it will be handy for lots of pedals.

I got hold of Kevin via the Goodrich email, and these Tension Axles will be available via the website soon. They want to get a video up on YouTube for installation instruction first, and he said he'll be working on that in the near future.

These new axles are 0.42 inch diameter and will work on pedals that were made in the last 15 years or so, but obviously you'd want to measure first.

Kevin advised the target price is 25.00, but since they aren't available yet, that could change I suppose. Well worth it IMO.

This really makes me appreciate the folks at Goodrich, and in general the steel guitar community. It's refreshing to do business with a personal touch, and that's not something you see much these days.
