Bob Carlucci’s post on Foxes & Fossils (fantastic stuff!) made me think of these kids from Argentina. The same attention to detail, spot-on vocals, musicianship and tons of heart. And so young! 90% Beatles, but a few other gems....

I had not run across them before. They do a good job playing "Back In The USSR" live. https://youtu.be/jX_AFjY00Bs

The Analogues are a European Beatles cover band that performs live renditions of post 1966 studio albums.

They have covered Sgt. Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour, White Album and Abbey Road.

They also have a world class collection of vintage instruments, including a Sipson Organola Lapsteel like the one used on "Strawberry Fields Forever".

Here is their website: http://theanalogues.net/

These guys were awesome when I saw them a few years ago, and If they go back on tour you need to see their show.

I agree with Gary. I’ve seen Rain 3 times and was thoroughly impressed, just loved their show. I’ve watched The Analogues on YouTube and wow!
There must be 20 or more Beatles Cover Bands in Japan, these guys being just one example.....

Mike,

I love watching bands from the Far East. Absolutely some of the best musicians you'll find any place. Thanks for sharing the video.

Carl,

The Blues Beatles gave a free to the public concert-in-the-park at Charlotte, NC two years ago. They were onstage almost two hours. Outstanding show.

Gary,

I believe Rain is based in Atlanta, GA. My younger brother raves about them after seeing them multiple times in Atlanta but I haven't seen them in person.

Back in the mid eighties I was lucky enough to see one of the original tribute bands, 1964, in a college student center club setting. At that time the band would allow the audience to come up between sets and look at (but not touch!) the instruments and amplifiers. http://www.1964web.com/. Watch their COVID video, pretty cheeky. 😉 Here is a Wikipedia article with some background information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1964_the_Tribute
