Same here. Knock em dead, Christopher!

....And then, after several hours had passed...

It was awesome! I especially enjoyed Bésame Mucho, and the funky Iron Coltrane John Butterfly thing 😎
All superb musicians, thank you for posting the link.

If you wouldn’t mind, how about explaining a little about that gig? Looks like a zoom meeting, but it also looks like you all are in 4 separate studios all in the same building complex. And maybe a little about the organization that sponsored it?

I’m sorry I didn’t see your question till just now!

We were all in the same studio, in different rooms, with windows that we could pretty much make eye contact through, although I’m never a huge eye contact guy other than when necessary.

The Experience Music Project puts on these concerts featuring all kinds of players doing all kinds of music. I got the gig because one of the colleges I teach for is one of the sponsors.

It weirdly made me realize I had to update my website, because the person doing the promo didn’t realize I was playing steel, because nowhere on my site did it say I played steel! I’ve redone it, now I’m officially a pedal steel player, and a guitarist, and a teacher, and a recording artist....

Thank you for watching it - we hadn’t played together in a year, but it still felt comfortable - those guys are soooooo good, and have been very supportive of my steel playing, even the lame parts. I’m lucky!

Christopher - Thanks for detailing the interesting circumstances of the gig. Yes, you are lucky to have a great band and supportive environment, but something tells me you did plenty to carve that out and put it together for yourself. Your band mates and your community are lucky to have you, too.
