I'm also a sucker for rescues ('52 Fender husk) and the unloved ($69 Rogue)

The Champion was built to match my blonde Squier '51 (flat black pickguard, Rukavina nut, Melbert bridge, Gemini p/u, Riot Works tuner) Tuning: A6 (7-strings feel like they were built for 1356135)

The "Chipas Regal*" Rogue just looked like it wanted to be art deco modern. Always dug the Magnatone scalloped fretboard and the Gibson reverse-painted plastic fretboard - so I married them on a 23" scale, this required the bridge to be pushed to the butt end of the guitar and the strings waterfall into the tailpiece attached to the butt. Lipstick p/u will be swapped out (mag field isn't ideal) for a 7-string humbucker. This will be my travel git. Tuning: Byrd C6/A7 (AC#EGACE...talk about economy of motion and voice leading. Everyday I find something new and cool!) (*Chipas Regal is the moniker I use anytime I add Cadillac fins to a Yugo...it's pronounced Cheapass Regál!)

From the Didja Know File: Didja know the Rogue is a knock off of the 1960 Guyatone HG-56B? Now you do!

I like this guitar, but the string spacing is still a bit narrower than a B-6, and so I don’t play it much. I feel that the touch and familiarity are so important on steel that I find it hard to switch between different guitars, much more so to me than standard guitar. 7 strings do make it nice to have the root on the lowest string for A6 or C6 high G

That’s a very nice pre-war B7.
