Twilight Blues on my Rickenbacher Frypan (Longscale Postwar)
inspired by the great version of Dick McIntire.

The tuning I use is C#minor (Hi to low E C#G# E C# G#)
Tabs and Playbacks for all of my videos are available on request.

Hope you like it !😊

Aloha

Sebastian.......as always, that's excellent and inspiring.

Question: Are you using your low 6th string (G#) at all in this arrangement? I didn't see that you were, but I might have missed it. If not, I could just tune my B's to C# on my E tuned steel, without changing strings.

Thanks!

Thanks Sebastian - another excellent recording.

Over the last year my interest in the original Hawaiian players has grown immensely but trying to figure out how the style was played is difficult, not least because the audio transfer from "78's" to digital is often unpleasant to listen to when one slows a track down!

I learn as much (if not more) watching you play as I do listening to Sol himself!

Next time I visit Berlin, I very much hope I can meet you personally!

Sebastian that was a great arrangement and playing of Twilight Blues. Your Rickenbacker helps creates the sound of Dick McIntyre. Again well done.

Aloha friends,

thank you sooo much for all the amazing comments, they mean a lot to me !

In regards to the backing track:

I played 3 different Rhythm Guitar tracks and one Uke track. For Swing Rhythm Guitar I like to use 3 Note voicings a lot.

Since the original track features a nice walking bassline I asked my bandmate and good friend Taylor to record a bass track in his studio, he did a awesome job, in my opinion.

Thanks again for your support and if you have more questions please keep them coming !

Aloha

Sebastian
