Hello again,

I'm still coming to grips with my 2106 version of BIAB. It's been quite a learning experience so far.

At the moment, I have written up the chords for 'Out Of Nowhere' and instead of the usual 1-2-1234 count-in, I get a constant metronome.

I checked HELP, to no avail when requesting info on METRONOME or COUNT-IN. Perhaps I should have asked a different question?

I have looked at PREFERENCES too, but it's full of options I don't understand.

There must be a simple answer, but it's got me tossed!

Many thanks to anyone who knows the answer. Surprised

JK

Not sure it applies to your older version of BIAB.

Try This,

Open Preferences by pressing Control and E at the same time.

Select the "Count-in/Met." button on the top row.

Make sure the visible metronome is set to "No visible metronome" and the audible metronome is set to none.

Thanks gents,

The YT video is closer to what my Mac screen shows, so I'll experiment with it.

John,

Thanks for letting us know you have Band-in-a-Box for Mac.

I don't have Band-in-a-Box for Mac. Unfortunately the 2016 BiaB for Mac user manual is not available so I am not able to see the exact window you see. However I found the image below from my 2016 BiaB for Windows user manual. This image should be very similar to your 2016 Band-in-a-Box for Mac metronome window.

Also, I found a 2:25 minute, 2013 Band-in-a-Box for Mac video that quickly explains all the metronome window options. https://youtu.be/-KvPt0KPGEw

Please check the settings for the two metronome options circled in red. Verify the top option, visible metronome, is set on "No visible metronome" and the bottom, Audible Metronome, is set to "None".
