Beginners Notes #493-No I don’t want a warranty for my car. And how did you get this number?

We hear X, Y or Z pro player do something and think, “That is impossible”! It very well may be for us, at the time, with our negative attitude, thinking they are “Steel Guitar Gods” and we are not worthy, smart enough or have enough fingers, toes, changes on our machine, any number of things. Well, I’m here to tell you, that is not the case. I have seen so so players, rise like the Phoenix, out of the depths of dismal. It is possible and everyone of those “Steel Gods” came from exactly the same place, with few exceptions maybe, given prior experience in music, that you did. Today there are pro level players all over, some of whom have seldom played out. And though they may not yet have the skills or have the “Playing out experience”, they are pushing boundaries not pushed yet and exploring music not yet heard. To those, “Bravo”!

For the record, I’m not one of those… I’m a third order hack. Hahaha!
