I must say that I have never seen this problem on my welded frame Rangexpander - and I have owned it since new in 86'!!

It's known to be a problem on some MCI's and EMCI's.

Thank you all for the responses on this. Love this community. I'm glad I was made aware of the issue, and also made aware it's quite common!
I really loved this D10's sound! But back to 6 string for me...

By the way, just to let people know there's great folks here. I got the EMCI off of a fellow SGF member, after him seeing this post. He did not see the mica raising issue either, but low and behold; made it right.
Thankful to be a part of this forum, and I'm hoping Chuck gets this PSG to it's full glory, and enjoys the hell out of the way it sounds!  |

Now that the sale has been consummated and there is so much discussion concerning the decks, I thought I would post a photo of the construction to kind of round it out.
