Hey Jerry.
Is that the kind of thing I could find locally at a hardware store? I tried but only found the thin rubber stair treads. Not sure what that stuff is sold for normally.

No Brad. This is heavier. I found it somewhere online. This is 1/8 in. thick and about 12 inches long. I think I ordered it like that.
If you just need a piece for one pedal, I can send you some of this.
If you are looking for a quantity, I'll search around my invoices and see if I can find the source. |

Thanks Jerry. I probably will plan to rehab a few pedals there, 3 Sho-Buds, a ZB, etc. So I should probably find where to buy the stuff. Much appreciated! Let me know if you find the source.

| Jerry - I'd also be interested if you have a source. I pretty much strictly use Sho Bud pedals, have several, one needs to be refurbished and I know eventually they'll all need it. I use them every day for everything, including guitar. |

Dave, Jon, this is the link I sent to Brad. It's Rubber-Cal sold by amazon
1/8 in. thick. I think there are other options as well. It's costlier than I remembered though.
I still have enough here for 3 or 4 pedals, but you can buy 3 ft. of it with free shipping for just a little more than it would cost us for shipping alone....go figure. If someone needs just enough for one pedal, we can prolly work that out.
This stuff reminds me of the old rubber floor mats some of the old cars and trucks used before there was carpet.
I searched automotive areas but did not find this.

Sure. I found it in 1/32" when I was first searching couple years ago. That might be heavy enough for our use and might be less expensive. I can't find the link right now though. Maybe the same co.
Anyway, I figured 1/8" would last my lifetime and probably the life of the pedal. I used Dap contact cement to apply it.
I guess this stuff is commonly used as runners over hardwood floors or otherwise protection from slips in areas like restaurant stations etc. |

I retreaded my Bud pedal with that same material. Found at Home Depot by the yard. Web site lists as "Corrugated Fine Rib 1/8 in. Rubber Runner."
Worth at look.

Some of the rubber or vinyl baseboard stuff has a ribbed back. You could glue it on upside down.
