One owner guitar! Ordered and bought it around 2002, brand new. The guitar has been played very little and has been sitting in a closet for about 16 years. The Historic guitars are in the Gibson Custom Shop and the '56 was the last year for P90 pickups. Neck is typical 50's - big and thick.
It weighs 8 lb 10 oz and is 100% all original, no mods and no one has ever done any work on it. Gibson still makes these and they are on their website.
ABR-1 Tune-o-matic Bridge. The ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge was the brainchild of legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty in 1954, setting a standard for simplicity and functionality that has never been bettered.
Very slight buckle rash, and I do mean very slight. The detail in the last photo shows the (very minimal) buckle rash.
The original case and all case candy is included with the sale.
$3800 shipped CONUS via Paypal.

Hi Nick, at some point Gibson started "Pleking" the frets. I like the old original, fat Gibson frets. How is this one? Thanks, Al |

Plekking started a few years after this guitar was built. These are the original Gibson frets you like. _________________ Just another belt & suspenders guy... |
