Hi All

OK, this long-awaited (ha!) and much-anticipated (ha!) 2 Volume set was planned to be called The Scars and Stripes (more to do with my face than US politics!) but then it was discovered there was already an album with this title. But as I'd already bought the stripy hat and scarf and taken the photos there was no turning back, so I just switched it around.

These two albums chronicle musical life from 1955 (Bud's Bounce) to 2020 (Alex G), with a new self-penned song thrown in from 2021. While I sing my way through much (but not all) of this, rest assured there is some pedal steel on every single track...or maybe that's a bad thing, depends what you think of my steel playing I guess.

As someone who has spent much of their life in academia, I have had no contact with the commercial side of the music world, so if any of you out there know, or know someone who knows anyone involved in a small alt-country/Americana/indie type independent label who might lend me some support I'd be keen to hear about it, so please private message me if you have any leads in that direction. In the meantime enjoy the music!

Don't forget Vol. 2, it's exactly the same but completely different. If you know what I mean!!!
